Tri Town Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
Academy
Professor Erwin Lopez(Owner/Head Instructor) discovered his interest in martial arts while
participating in  American Wrestling. He continued to study in White Dragon Kung Fu where he
became a student instructor and trained under Master Sifu Galligiano.  To gain additional
knowledge and skill, Professor Erwin also studied Karate for a period of time.  In 1997,
Professor Erwin began a new adventure studying Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) with Professor Mark
Johnson.  A few months later Professor Erwin expanded his studies with Professor Amal
Easton, a Renzo Gracie Black Belt.  Professor Amal is one of the few Americans to have direct
ties to the famous Gracie Barra in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.  Since then, Professor Erwin has been
devoted in studying the art and skill of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
